New Event: SATURDAY MORNING CONVERSATION AT THE BOOKSHOP: The
Many Faces of Death - Beginning 21Sept at bookshop, a circle conversation
about death, dying, & our experience. 9:00am-10:00am,
each Saturday. Beginning with book, The Grace in Dying
– How We Are Transformed Spiritually As We Die, by
Kathleen Dowling Singh, c.1998. Drop in.
MORNING PRACTICE AT THE HERMITAGE.
(6:05am-6:35am) Silent Sitting - 30 minutes,
daily; then, (6:40am-7:00am) Chanting & Mindfulness
Walking (MWF Christian; TTh Buddhist). Whatever
your tradition or practice come sit together in silence. Simply
enter, sit, and leave in silence.

Practice Silent Sitting, Walking, Listening, Eating, Conversing,
Chanting. (1, 15, 29 Sept Christian focus; 8, 22 Buddhist focus)
All welcomes.
Note:
All CONVERSATIONS AT MEETINGBROOK follow
a format of 1) circle reading from a work, or opening words from
a presenter; 2) brief time of silence; 3) open conversation flowing
from the words.
Come any week; each hour conversation stands alone.

FRIDAY EVENING CONVERSATION
AT THE BOOKSHOP
4:30pm
- 5:30pm Poetry. Open gathering invites anyone to bring poetry
to read, whether own or others’. “Poetry” for us is Poems, Letters,
& Pieces of Journals. In addition, we read from David Whyte’s
Crossing the Unknown Sea, Work as a Pilgrimage of Identity.
6:00-7:30pm
Lovingkindness Practice/study: (Reading, Conversing, Sitting.)
An hour and half of practice & study. Currently reading Lovingkindness:
The Revolutionary Art of Happiness, by Sharon Salzberg. (Facilitated
by Susan Smith-Hudson.)

BOOKSHOP

A group playing effort. Join in. Also, any other days for individuals.
An opportunity to rehearse individually with ease in a public
place, anytime, call or just show up.
Closed Mondays, Open
